My name is Anastasiia. I was born in the city of Cherkasy. I spent most of my life in Smila, where I completed my first art school. After that, I stepped away from drawing for several years, but with the start of the full-scale war, creativity returned to my life as an inner necessity.
I am currently studying at the Lviv National Academy of Arts, majoring in Illustration and Media Design. Through painting, I try to give a voice to what is difficult to express in words — nostalgia, the search for home, a sense of comfort, memories, and the strength of nature. The war became for me not only a challenge, but also a catalyst for deeper self-reflection and an attempt to heal anxiety through paint and graphic work. I began to draw not with the intention of creating “something beautiful,” but from the need to speak without words.

Мене звати Анастасія, народилась у місті Черкаси. Проживала більшу частину свого життя у місті Сміла та закінчила там свою першу художню школу. Після неї на кілька років покинула малювання, але з початком повномасштабної війни творчість повернулась до мого життя, як внутрішня потреба.
Зараз я навчаюсь у Львівській Національній Академії Мистецтв на спеціальності "Ілюстрація та медіадизайн".
Через живопис я намагаюся дати голос тому, що складно висловити словами — ностальгії, пошуку дому, затишку, спогадів і сили природи. Війна стала для мене не лише викликом, а й поштовхом до глибшого себе, до спроби зцілити тривогу через фарби та графіку. Я почала малювати не з бажанням створювати "щось красиве", а з потреби говорити без слів.

In my paintings, I merge reality and fairytale, observation and imagination. For me, the emotional resonance of space matters more than formal precision. A landscape can become a metaphor for safety or vulnerability — memories of something lost, symbols of strength and awareness.
I explore the idea of home — what we seek within ourselves when the outer world offers no stability. My works are a dialogue with the viewer about inner calm, about the light that remains even under the darkest skies. I paint because I cannot do otherwise. This is my way of being honest, alive, and real.

У своїх картинах я поєдную реальність і казку, спостереження й уяву. Для мене важлива не стільки точність форми, як емоція простору. Пейзаж може стати метафорою безпеки чи вразливості. Спогади про щось втрачене, символи сили та обізнаності.
Я досліджую тему дому, того, що ми шукаємо всередині, коли назовні немає стабільності. Мої роботи — це розмова з глядачем про внутрішній спокій, про світло, що залишається навіть у найпохмурішому небі. Я малюю, бо інакше не можу. Це мій спосіб бути чесно, живо, по-справжньому.
